Leuchars Base, St Andrews   

Kohler Company has successfully partnered with the Royal Air Force, Army and Ministry of Defence since 2016 to re-open EGQL (Leuchars airfield) to business jet traffic during the event.  

Kohler Air is the name of our handling service and since RAF Leuchars closed in 2014, Kohler has provided the manpower, fuel and services needed to allow business jet usage of the airport on a Prior Permission Required basis.  As such, RAF Leuchars remains manned by the RAF for ground, Air Traffic Control and other flight services with Kohler providing ground handling and fueling services.  

Through this partnership, Leuchars is accepting private aircraft worldwide from 10 to 45.5Mt (45000kg) 

The aircraft are permitted to offer carriage of own staff or non-fare paying passengers and must sign a declaration stating so. Please note, there are no chartered aircraft allowed to land at Leuchars.

International arrivals and departures are approved and supervised by UK Border Force Customs and Immigration Officers on site.

• Aircraft toilet refresh facility

• Flight planning print out and airfield information 

• Expeditious high quality transportation from airside to your chosen destination 

• Bespoke 5-star catering by the renowned Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa

• Accommodation can also be booked through the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa if required

Monday to Friday:  09:00 to 17:00 local time

Weekend availability for major St Andrews golfing events

Notwithstanding the above, some dates may be unavailable due to primary commitments of the Leuchars Base but we will endeavor to communicate this at an early stage of your application.
